Puzzle-solving roles
Give one player responsibility for reading clues, one for testing interactions, and one for marking the location. Rotate roles when the group reaches a new area so everyone participates.
Use landmarks as coordinates
Call out the area, landmark, direction, and objective. This is more reliable than saying “over here,” especially when players join through crossplay or are exploring different paths.
Keep spoilers controlled
Record the clue and map position first. Only open a direct solution when the group has finished investigating. The Big Walk map and walkthrough help you return without exposing every answer.
Puzzle troubleshooting
If an interaction does not trigger, confirm the whole group is in the correct area, check that everyone is on the same version, and restart the session before assuming the puzzle is broken.
